This transcription of the Masonic Record Books of Poughkeepsie, New York is a faithful copy of the original books and is as free from error as circumstances allow. Some books of this record were particularly difficult to read and therefore, some of the transcribed names might have been misread. There are currently eight original Poughkeepsie Masonic volumes known to exist for this time period. Besides the two that are transcribed in this book, the other six were previously transcribed in KS-345 Masonic Records, Poughkeepsie, New York, Dutchess County, 1842-1915.
